Good Afternoon Mr. Pinaki,

Thank you for returning my call so quickly. As I mentioned over the phone, we have started remodeling our building at 1165 Airport Boulevard, the future home of our new Integral Care service location. I wanted to provide a little background on who we are and what services will be offered, and reiterate our availability to you and your neighbors on any questions you might have.

Integral Care is the Local Mental Health Authority for Travis County. We strengthen our community by supporting our most important asset – our people – and have provided services in the community for 50 years. We help adults, children and families build health and well-being so everyone has the foundation to reach their full potential. Integral Care has over 40 locations, 900 employees and served almost 25,000 people last year.

Integral Care is relocating several existing programs to this new service location on Airport Boulevard later this year. This location will offer multiple services including mental health urgent care for adults and children, one-on-one case management, wellness programs, counseling programs, short term residential care, family education and referrals to other community resources.

I’ve attached a draft version of the letter we plan to send out to the home owners and businesses within a 500ft radius of location. We also have additional information on our website at http://www.integralcare.org/airport-boulevard/

On our call you mentioned the opportunity to present at your next neighborhood meeting, we would be happy to do so. I would just need additional information on when, where and how long we would have to present?

Thank you again for your time. Don’t hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can help with in the meantime.

All the best,
Sarah

Questionnaire regarding Matrix Report on Community Policing from Lt. Gaslin

From: Gaslin, Gizette <Gizette.Gaslin@austintexas.gov>

Subject: Questionnaire regarding Matrix Report on Community Policing
To:

Greetings,

In April of 2016, the City Council retained the Matrix Consulting Group to conduct a Community Policing study for the Austin Police Department. The Matrix Group made several recommendations to enhance the Department’s Community Policing program (found in the attached report). One of the recommendations was to assign a dedicated person as a Community Engagement Coordinator.  I was very excited to be selected for this position and have been working with the District Representatives and each of the area commands to assist them in strengthening our community policing efforts throughout the City of Austin.

In order to hear from each neighborhood association/group we need your assistance in completing a short questionnaire (less than 5 minutes).  Your feedback and input are valuable to us, as APD moves its focus to community policing.

Please return the questionnaire back to me no later than Monday, September 24, 2017 at noon. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me at (512) 974-5513. I look forward to building bridges between the department and our community, making it safer together.

Thank you
Lt. Gaslin
